The creativity and name of Vagnby reach back more than a century – to 1920, when Viggo Kristensen adopted the name Vagnby.
As an architect, illustrator, and artist, he created the iconic Wonderful Copenhagen poster in 1951, depicting the mother duck and her ducklings crossing the street while a policeman stops the traffic. A timeless image still spreading joy around the world.
In 2005, Viggo’s son, Tavs Vagnby, founded VAGNBYS. His son, Marcus Vagnby, and daughter-in-law, Karina Mencke, have since developed and designed the VAGNBYS collection – where functionality and beauty unite in refined creations for wine, water, dining, and atmosphere.
